“Fijn”
I liked the room.
The place is great, right next to the station and the lake, perfect for experiencing a typical Japanese house.

The spot is convenient, the room is big and feels authentically Japanese, the staff are friendly, and everything is clean and tidy. But the hostel‑style building is old and has a musky scent, and the walls are thin so you can hear a lot from other rooms.

I appreciated the good location and easy access from Kawaguchiko Station, and the rooms were spacious. However, the whole property felt quite old, my entire outer wall was moldy and smelled unpleasant; even after prolonged ventilation and using the air‑conditioner the odor persisted. The shared baths were also slightly musty.
It’s cheap, but there’s only a shower and I wish the room had a toilet and washbasin.
