“Good value for money”
The location was great. Nothing else stood out, and it matched what I expected for the price I paid.
“Terrible”
The owner was rude and disrespectful.
Everything was perfect
“A rest fit for a queen.”
The bed was extremely comfortable—I slept almost 14 hours. The fan worked wonderfully in the heat, keeping both my mother and me very comfortable in the bedroom. The bathtub, however, seemed installed incorrectly; it wasn’t corked properly, so when you stand in it the bottom flexes a bit, as if you could fall through if it broke, and the hot water pipe heats the side of the bath to a scalding temperature from inside the wall. It’s more of a safety concern than something that ruined our stay. The owner should have the bathtub checked. Also, there’s no door to the bathroom, making privacy hard to find.
I was told to cancel my reservation after explaining that my partner has OCD and that we needed freshly washed bedding—a non‑negotiable request. The response was a nasty message mocking my partner’s condition and demanding that I cancel. I felt I dodged a bullet; there was nothing unreasonable about my request. I immediately tried to cancel on the app, was told a refund would take a few days, and my booking was for the next day, so I had to spend extra money to book elsewhere. If basic requests can provoke such nastiness over text, a face‑to‑face encounter would have been worse. They shouldn’t be in hospitality if they’re triggered by such a harmless request. Such spiteful behaviour has no place in the service industry. I reckon I dodged a bullet, yikes.
