Hotel Picchio, located in a residential area, offers air-conditioned en suite rooms and complimentary Wi-Fi. The ancient town of Orvieto is a 10-minute ride by funicolar (until 8 pm) or by car. The hotel is 200 meters from the train station and near the cable car, providing easy access to the historic centre, churches, and characteristic buildings.

Great location near the bus that goes to the city centre. We left the car in the hotel garage (5 € per day).

A pleasant hotel on a quiet street. Orvieto is easily reachable on foot if you don’t mind walking uphill. Parking on the street is fine, and we were offered parking in the garage for 5 € per day.

It is a beautiful establishment, the reception is truly pleasant. We met three different people during our stay, all of whom were keen to keep us well informed and comfortable. The breakfast is really varied and tasty, and the location is convenient. A nice family hotel, I recommend it. We were a little annoyed that the bath was not super clean; there were stains at the bottom, so we settled for a shower after a long hike, even though a bath would have been nice. There apparently isn’t any sound insulation between the rooms, and we could hear our neighbors arguing every night.
