The breakfast was very generous. The accommodation itself was basic and located on a busy street.

The rate was fairly low and, for a single night, the overall stay was acceptable; the €10 extra breakfast was genuinely good even though the booking site had listed it at €8. I also appreciated that, when I asked, they promptly sent a hair‑dryer since none was in the room. The room itself was tiny – the advertised 14 m² barely covered the bathroom, and the sloping roof plus an estimated ceiling height of about 2.10 m made it feel cramped. The bed sat in a niche, the mattress was passable, and the furniture looked worn and heavily scratched.

For a simple hotel it was okay, meeting my (low) expectations. Everything needed was available. Rooms face the street and are extremely noisy, so close the windows and it’s fine. The breakfast was very good—simple but tasty. Honestly, friendliness and a bit of small talk are always advantageous in hospitality and cost nothing. You can even show complete enthusiasm when a guest arrives, as in all the small hotels with restaurants in southern Germany; it does no harm and makes the guest feel comfortable. I would say I was treated neutrally in line with the region (Sauerland).

The breakfast was good. The hotel sits directly on a heavily trafficked main street, all rooms face the street, and it’s very loud with the windows open.
