“Overall great value & experience”
The staff were super friendly, the value was great, the facilities were good, and the area was nice, but the free bikes were only partially working.

Finding the place is very easy, and there’s a convenience store right next to it. Across the street is one of the famous cafés, Lighthouse, and there are many cafés and restaurants around. It’s also close to the beach. Every room has a toilet, a fridge, a washing machine, and a microwave. This stay is really perfect for a family or a group of friends, and the interior is beautiful and cozy.

The location is good, the pool and sauna are nice, but the balcony view could have been better, though it was still a great place.

The bed was very comfortable, the best in a long while, but the staff seemed a bit sleepy and clumsy, and we were first given a room that was still occupied by other guests.

We booked the 3‑bedroom family room at Amber Bay Hotel & Suites, and what should have been a pleasant stay was marred by a serious security incident on our second‑to‑last night. While everyone was asleep, someone entered our room and stole money from both my handbag and my father‑in‑law’s bags. Our 3‑year‑old daughter was sleeping downstairs alone, and we’re grateful she was unharmed. The fact that someone could break in while the whole family was asleep is deeply concerning. We reported the theft to staff, who showed us CCTV footage, but no one entered the room on camera, raising doubts about the footage’s completeness or integrity. The incident left us questioning the hotel’s security. Other problems included a staircase with no handrail, a very low ceiling in the upstairs bedroom—so I, at 5’11”, had to shower on my knees—and a fridge that rattled loudly all night. The kitchen only had a microwave, so if you expect full cooking facilities, be aware it’s very limited. The door locking mechanisms also raised concerns.
