Located on Ko Samed, Vimarn Samed Resort overlooks the Gulf of Thailand, offering 2 dining options and air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Rooms feature modern Thai interiors, dark wood furnishings, and private balconies in some cases. The resort is 50 meters from Aow Wong Duen Beach and a 3-minute walk from Ao Chor Beach, with Sai Kaew Beach a 15-minute drive away.

The room and the whole property were spotlessly clean, the pool was great, the food was tasty, and the staff were courteous. The only downside I noticed was the lack of a covered, sheltered spot to eat when it rained, especially since the wind was steady during our stay.

The staff were all very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant area was lovely, a perfect spot for breakfast. Everything around the shared resort areas was immaculate and well kept. The private beach was rocky, but the snorkeling was excellent, and we were close to the main big beach. The rooms felt a bit cramped and basic, almost 3‑star level, which didn’t match the 4‑star vibe of the restaurant area and was a bit disappointing. We stayed in Garden View Rooms, so maybe other rooms were better, but they could use a little revamp.

Great. A wonderful spot with a beautiful view, fantastic friendly staff, and a lovely pool. The only drawback is that you don’t overlook the garden but the restaurant terrace (so you always keep your curtains closed because it’s the other way around). So when booking a cottage with garden view, don’t ask for cottage 1 or 2.
