The Shepherds Inn, Langwathby

“Great location, great price, lovely management & staff, clean and comfortable with great food”

The staff and management were extremely kind and accommodating, the facilities were spotless and comfortable, and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. The location was perfect, just minutes from my event, and the price was fair. I couldn't have asked for more. Thanks to everyone involved in my stay.

“Nice pub and restaurant in a good location.”

Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, the food was cooked well and presented nicely, and the inn had a generally convivial atmosphere. Plenty of parking was available. Our room was clean and comfortable, though the en‑suite felt a bit tight. The morning traffic noise from the road through the village was present but not too bad. Strolling around Langwathby is enjoyable, and there’s beautiful countryside right on the doorstep. The bar area could use more lounge‑style seating; it feels more like a dining space.

“We would definitely recommend.”

The location was beautiful and the old inn was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed comfortable, and the TV was larger than in many places we’ve stayed. Both the evening meal and breakfast were very good. We were offered a choice between a large or smaller portion because the servings were very large for dinner. Nothing else to note.

The staff were great, the bar area was nice, and there was decent motorcycle parking. A small supermarket was just 100 m away, and the room price was good. The evening meal was excellent for the price. The bed was not very comfortable, feeling more like a trampoline, and the en‑suite was extremely small.
