Everything was perfect; the warm welcome makes us recommend this place for rest and cultural discovery. Nothing to add.

Excellent welcome; Gilles attends to guests with great care. The family house is tidy. The upstairs rooms are newly renovated and very neat. The bathroom facilities are in excellent condition. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are spacious. The cleanliness is impeccable. Breakfast is tailored to our preferences. There is ample parking. A pergola is available for the summer season. The Wi‑Fi connection is very good. The village is very quiet, with no noise at night. Perhaps the décor could be less cluttered, especially in the living room. The bedding feels a bit “old‑school” with sheets and blankets; duvets would be more practical. It might be helpful to note the presence of dogs for those with allergies.

We chose Demeure des Lions because we wanted to visit a winemaker in Bouzeron. We had no big expectations, but were pleasantly surprised by Gilles' generosity and friendly attitude. He offered to pick us up in Chagny, accompanied us to the winemaker, and even drove us to the next village the next day. We ate dinner and breakfast with Gilles and Jean, learning a lot about village life and France, which we found fascinating. It became a very nice memory for us Swedes.
