The best hotel on our trip, stylish like a château, full service with plenty of extras. The outdoor and indoor onsen were top quality. The room was comfortable with a lake view. The surrounding steps and personalized restaurant service were excellent, with a fantastic Kaiseki menu.

Great spot on Lake Shikotsu. The food was fabulous and the staff were lovely, making us feel well taken care of. Parking can be tricky if you arrive late, but otherwise nothing significant.

Dinner and onsen were good, but English communication was difficult. The hotel is under construction and needs a lift.

The food was excellent, and the dinner service was also good. The accommodation and its fittings are old; it doesn't look like much has been renovated or maintained. The shower head leaked and the shower curtain was moldy.
