I was welcomed warmly at Wilden Mann, which is part of the Goldene Karpfen group. The room was clean, tidy, and perfectly adequate for my needs. Breakfast at Wilden Mann was also good, and I could store my bike safely. The chairs and tables in the breakfast area were set up like a seminar room and were uncomfortable for me; that part did not appeal to me.

The hotel sits close to the city centre and you can walk everywhere, but during the breakfast rush you had to hunt for a free spot across several rooms, and a bartender at the bar wouldn’t make a particular cocktail because it supposedly wasn’t available, even though it had been offered the night before.

The place was spot on for getting to the station and catching the concert at the Colos-Saal, which was a big win for me.

Near the city centre and the breakfast was solid, but the mattress was incredibly soft and the TV could use an upgrade.
