The spot was convenient for our needs, close to the train station for heading into London. However, the place was dirty: the bin in our room wasn’t emptied, the house looked shabby from the outside with no care taken, and the door locks were poor. The bathroom and toilet were shared, which was NOT disclosed in the listing, and the shower temperature couldn’t be controlled—it was either too hot or ice cold. Hair was everywhere on the floor in the bathroom and on the stairs.

The hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming! The beds were super comfortable. It was a very short walk to the station, and there were several good restaurants within walking distance.

It was very cheap for London, and that should have been the warning! The host was lovely and friendly, and the beds were comfortable. This is a room in someone’s home and should be advertised as such because the bathroom is a family bathroom. Cleanliness needs to be better. The property needs renovation but that wasn’t an issue; it was the cleanliness. There were no curtains in the bedroom and a street lamp and the main road were directly outside the room. We weren’t shown any facilities, so we couldn’t make a drink. If I had known it was a room in someone’s home, I wouldn’t have booked it. The internal door had a deadlock that didn’t feel safe.
