“Voor een midweek in de nazomer een prima stek.”
A nice spot, everything was present and clean, but the cabins were a bit close together and the beds felt a bit hard.

The location was beautiful and the cabin was modernly furnished. The hot tub on the sides had wooden screens, giving you a decent amount of privacy while bathing. The surroundings were lovely, but we were short on time; next time we’ll stay longer. The only issues were that the walls between the bedrooms were very thin, letting you hear every fart, and there was still a fair amount of dust and spiderwebs in the corners of the house, both under and on the ceiling. Beds and furniture were clean.

The peace and surroundings were great, with no negatives.

It was great that you could walk straight into the Dwingelderveld. The location shown in the photos when we booked had the chalet among the heathlands; the photos were later updated.

We booked the Heideborg logde (4p) for a long weekend with our dog in mid‑August 2026 and loved the beautiful, peaceful setting; the park borders the Dwingelderveld, so a walk into the nature reserve is just a few steps away, and the modern two‑bedroom cottage was exactly as described. To bring pets you have to contact Vakantiepark De Wiltzangh directly because not every unit allows them, and the staff were very friendly and handled everything quickly. The downside was the charging stations on the site were extremely pricey—we paid € 1,1713 per kWh for our car and the rates weren’t disclosed beforehand.
