The dar was authentic and very beautiful. The breakfast was mediocre.

Ayoub, the house manager, was amazing—he tended to every need and was always ready to help. The rooms were clean and wonderful. The pool was refreshing and a relief (they charge extra to use it). If you need AC, double‑check because not all rooms have it; ours did and it was very comfortable. You’ll want to arrange a porter through the property to carry your bags from the drop point outside the Medina. The “promenade” to the property is rather messy; it had a secret‑passage vibe, but if I were the hotel I’d clean up the trash on the way in—it would be cool. This doesn’t lower our experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.

The dar was very pretty, the suite was comfortable with a huge bed and a mezzanine, the bathroom was nice, and the room was quiet because it faced the patio even without a window. It’s accessible by taxi from a small parking nearby, so make sure you can use your phone to call someone who will pick you up. The location in the medina is perfect. The breakfast on the roof terrace was very good. As many say, the access isn’t very pleasant—a maze of truly dilapidated alleys that can be off‑putting at first glance, neither very clean nor very nice.

We spent two nights at Dar 7 Louyat and the staff were very friendly while the breakfast was excellent. The terrace from which breakfast was served offered a wonderful view, and the Dar itself is well maintained with a lot of charm. We were grateful for the help carrying our luggage up the stairwell. We’ll definitely come back. On the downside, the Dar sits in a lonely, somewhat dirty side alley near a lively square, so the first impression was “where did we end up?” We booked the top‑floor room right next to the roof terrace, which was beautiful, but climbing the steep, long staircase was quite a workout 😉. If you have mobility issues or physical limitations, a lower‑floor room might be more suitable.
