We stayed at the property and found it lovely and well‑kept, but the real highlight was Ms Georgia’s hospitality, which made us feel the warmth of the place instantly. The breakfast featured five tasty handmade pies and preserves, starting our day in the best possible way.
“Πολύ ευχάριστη και άνετη διαμονή – θα το επιλέγαμε ξανά!”
This was our second time choosing this hotel and the third family visit to the area, and we were again very satisfied. The room was clean, comfortable, and well‑kept; the location was very convenient and the staff courteous and helpful. Overall we had a very pleasant family stay and would definitely pick it again. Nothing negative about our stay; if anything, a small detail—having a blanket in the room—might be useful, but it’s a very minor point.
We arrived in Plaisia, near Ioannina, on Thursday evening, June 18. Even though Platanos Tavern is usually closed on Thursdays, Petros, the owner of Hotel Alexandra, reached out to the tavern and arranged for it to open just for us—a remarkable gesture that made us feel truly welcome. Our stay at Hotel Alexandra was wonderful: authentic, full of character, with a spacious inner courtyard that created a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was exceptional, offering a variety of delicious local products that gave us a true taste of the region. The food at Platanos Tavern was outstanding—fresh, tasty, and generously portioned—all at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and the surrounding area is incredibly picturesque, making it a perfect spot to experience Epirus’s beauty. A big thank you to Petros and the Platanos Tavern team for their outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend both Hotel Alexandra and Platanos Tavern to anyone visiting the area!
“מקום שקט ורגוע ליום מנוחה.”
המארחים היו מאוד מקסימים,אוהב ישראל. המקום מאוד נקי, הכפר שקט מאוד 30 דקות מאיואנינה, מתאים לאוהבי טבע ושקט. היינו עם ילדה מתבגרת היה לה שקט מאוד
The room, the hospitality, the calm, the staff. The only downside was the size of the bathroom.
