I recently had a disastrous experience with a hotel booking through a popular app. Upon receiving a confirmation, I made a payment for a room, expecting a smooth check-in process. However, upon arrival, I found that the location provided was incorrect, and the property was nowhere to be found. After navigating through Google maps, we finally reached the hotel, only to be told that they don't accept online bookings, and the tariff I paid for was not applicable.

I had a rather disappointing experience at this hotel. The staff requested an additional payment, one and a half times the initial amount, just to stay in the room, which I found quite unreasonable. Despite this setback, I must admit that the hotel's location and some of its amenities were quite impressive. However, the surprise request for extra payment overshadowed my overall experience.
