This hostel is undeniably the best in Indonesia, almost feeling like a hotel; the private rooms are amazing for the price and the dorm is roomy. The maintenance is excellent and the staff are the friendliest I've met. 10/10. Nothing was lacking; everything was perfect.

Zen MOON Hostel turned out to be a real bargain—I stayed for four nights and the room was spotless, especially the outdoor bathroom. The owners are lovely and eager to help with anything you need. A kitchen on the top floor lets you whip up quick eggs before heading to the gym, and the washer is handy for laundry. Every morning you can get hot water outside your room to brew coffee or tea and enjoy biscuits. The hostel sits on a quiet street in a charming neighborhood, and you can walk to plenty of cafés and restaurants. There's also a pond with fish and a curious, cute turtle. I even rented a scooter from them. Highly recommend! —Katerina
