“Zklamání - zvláště pak po obtěžování od majitele”
The hotel is within walking distance of the city center and old town, so no taxi needed. It has a nice large pool with pleasantly warm water and a whirlpool in the basement. The hotel is still under construction, which brings noise from the site, power and water outages, and it’s uncomfortable at 47 °C in the shade… When arriving from the station, it’s hard to find the hotel because navigation marks it as in the courtyard, but the entrance is on the main street, so you have to cross the construction with a suitcase. There’s no restaurant, terrace, or anything—just about three rooms—so breakfast is in the room, but there are no chairs, so you eat on the bed or carpet (see photo). Breakfast is very simple, just what they bring to your plate. The room has no tea or coffee; they bring a sachet for each person at breakfast, and when we asked for tap water they sent us to the shop next door to buy it. The pool is in the basement, not accessible through the hotel but via the street, and the owner lets people in only as a kindness (and after we complained on Booking that breakfast and the pool were included). You can only go to the pool if no one else has rented it at that moment. Everything could be managed; we’ve seen worse. The worst happened after we left, when the hotel owner started messaging us on WhatsApp, insulting us and threatening us, then wrote that we all should leave, even our families, just because we wrote a review he didn’t like (despite our attempts to resolve it amicably). I’m lowering my rating because I don’t want anyone to experience this.
