South Beach Inn - Cocoa Beach

“Great location and great hosts.”

The room was very clean, with a full‑size refrigerator, stove, coffee pot, and microwave. The AC worked well and the lawn was tidy. Walking to the end of the property, a walkway over the dune leads straight to the beach—yes, you’re that close. When you drive up, don’t “judge a book by its cover”; the front needs some work but keep going… the motel is dated, yet you’re very close to places to eat and shop. The front needs some work, but in this day of higher cost one can understand.

“Total Disappointment”

The location was very good, and the staff were great at check‑in. We had a concern about an infestation of bedbugs or fleas or something in our room. One of the guests slept on the futon provided and was covered in bites from head to toe. When we called the office to express our concerns, we felt very dismissed. They stated they had a bedbug protocol and would let us know the results. If bedbugs were found, we would be offered some type of reimbursement. She also said some very contradictory things that made us feel like there was an infestation and they were trying to cover it up. That is not OK with us as we are now home and have to treat all of our personal property as though it is infected with an infestation as to not bring anything into our home. We feel dirty and disgusted. This ruined our trip.

The hotel sits very close to the beach, which is great, but the rooms could use an update.
