“Nur als Notstop zu empfehlen”
After a long drive, the proximity to the French border and the free parking were convenient, but the inn in the town center, located at a noisy intersection, stayed loud until 2 a.m. The owner’s casual appearance in a undershirt matched his laid‑back attitude toward guests. I requested a quiet single room for 70 € without breakfast, but was given a noisy double room at no extra cost. Contrary to the information that there would be no evening service, I was denied a coffee at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, even though I had arranged it with the owner. The room was old‑fashioned, dark (apparently clean?), with a functional shower and toilet. The bed had an acceptable mattress, but the frame made a clattering sound with every turn. The parking lot was unguarded, yet seemed safe in the town. The value for money was disappointing, so I would only return in an emergency.
