Mintu and his whole family showed exceptional attention, kindness, and availability throughout our stay; their advice made our discovery of Varanasi much more authentic and pleasant than we had expected; we could always count on them to find the best solutions and adjustments, no matter the situation; Kedareswar B&B gathers all the essential points for a successful stay in Varanasi; it is ideally located just a step from Kedar Ghat, and it is much quieter than many other establishments in this lively part of the city; the location is excellent—just a few minutes on foot from the points of interest and the boats on the Ganges are directly accessible from the ghat just below; there is no restaurant on site but that is not a drawback—numerous rooftop restaurants are available in the immediate surroundings, offering beautiful views of the Ganges; this pension allows you to fully immerse yourself in the life of the ghats while enjoying a calm and well‑maintained refuge; for anyone who wants to experience Varanasi authentically, away from tourist bustle, we strongly recommend Kedareswar B&B and the whole team of Mintu; it is an address that one keeps precious.

I had a new room, clean and comfortable; I appreciate the use of real wood for doors and furniture instead of synthetic wood, which gives a pleasant touch of authenticity; in my room the Wi‑Fi was weak because it was far from the router, but the staff said they were still gathering feedback for the new room and that a second router would be added soon.

Kedareswar guesthouse turned out to be a perfect choice for me to explore and stay in Varanasi; Kedar Ghat is right in the middle between Assi and Manikarnika Ghat, so you can walk to see a morning aarti as the sun rises at Assi Ghat and join the crowd for the evening aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat; the place is clean and well taken care of; the owners are very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive; stepping out of the guesthouse feels like stepping into a small Hanuman temple; the second most important temple in Varanasi, Gauri Kedareshwar Temple, is a 2‑minute walk along the street peppered with street food and stalls of fruit and vegetables; there’s also a shop with all necessities right up the street; if your room doesn’t face the beautiful Ganga, you can always meditate and watch the sunrise on the spacious roof terrace—that’s what I did; when back in Varanasi, I will gladly stay in Kedareswar guesthouse again.

It is located directly on the Ganges; the staff are rude, and those who have written reviews say they give water or help with something… well, overall, yes; but it costs triple the price; the room is on the 1st floor; the window opens onto a stinky market passage; and they play men at the reception or under the windows; it is very noisy.
