The place was convenient, but the bathroom was far from what the photos promised. On arrival the bathroom smelled bad, water sat on the floor, a towel was wet, and the flush button broke, rendering the toilet unusable. They later fixed the issue but the toilet started leaking, flooding the area. The next day they installed a new toilet, but I felt it should have been handled earlier; I would have liked a new room, but none were available. Cleaning was minimal—just water and toilet paper were put in, and on some days they only put water outside the door.

Getting to the pool from the room, the calmness, the island location, the room comfort, and the staff’s flexibility were all great, yet there was no working coffee machine, and the laundry service left a short and a stained shirt.

The room was great and spacious enough to unwind, and although we didn’t cook, the option was nice. The pool was excellent. The bar and lunch spot never seemed to open, so we had to walk into town for a drink, but it was doable; just plan ahead. The monkeys were a little aggressive but weren’t present all the time.

We booked a standard room, but the hotel sent us a message saying that room was no longer available and that we would need to pay for an upgrade if we wanted to stay. We agreed to a reasonable price since the overbooking was not our fault, so we upgraded to a pool‑view room with a kitchen. When we arrived, the room had no pool view, which we had paid for, and we were told we could not get a refund for the upgrade. The air‑con worked in the bedroom, but the fan in the kitchen was broken, making the kitchen very hot. The hob was broken, and the doors didn’t shut fully, so mosquitoes bit us all night. We told the manager, who was helpful and fixed these issues, but they should have been working properly from the start (except for the fan that remained broken). The pool was not clean. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned every day because the staff wouldn’t do it; some days they wouldn’t clean at all, leaving us without toilet roll or clean towels even after we asked. The manager promised daily cleaning, yet when rooms were cleaned the towels weren’t changed. Bed sheets and towels were stained, the sofa had stains, and the decorative pillows were also dirty. The kitchen was old and dirty; I had to clean it myself with a sponge and soap I bought. It had a musty smell. Staff did not speak English, so whenever we had a problem they had to call their manager. They seemed reluctant to help and laughed each time I asked for something. We asked if they could do laundry, which they did, but they mixed someone else’s clothes with ours. One night was very loud because a festival was happening. I would not recommend this place.
