The hotel's spa facilities were a highlight – the bath was incredible and the sauna had this amazing woody aroma. Our room was in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city, and the view from the window was stunning. Unfortunately, the traditional Japanese mattresses were pretty worn out, which made for a pretty uncomfortable night's sleep. I woke up with a sore back, which was a bit of a letdown.
