I could walk to Istanbul’s must‑see mosques and bazaars, and the rate that included breakfast felt very reasonable. It’s a handy spot, but it isn’t a high‑end neighbourhood.

The little hotel sat right in the old quarter, just a five‑minute walk from the Grand Bazaar, and the front‑desk clerk apologized for the construction and offered us a boat trip to the islands as compensation. Unfortunately, renovation work was happening right opposite and even above our room the whole time, so there was constant noise in the afternoon and it was hard to rest after lunch; the room was tiny for three adults, barely allowing you to squeeze between the double bed, fridge, wardrobe and the window. I won’t post pictures of the site because it will be gone in a few weeks.

Everything was perfect; it met all my needs exactly. It was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was conveniently located near the railway, the city center, and the meeting spot with my partners. The staff was attentive.

I found the place to be far too noisy, and the room was left dirty with old bedding that hadn't been changed.

The hotel was very central, right next to the transport links and just 5 m from the Grand Bazar.
