Located in a historic building in Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone, Hotel Boutique Casa Sánchez offers 16 unique, air-conditioned rooms with internet TV, safety-deposit boxes, and luxurious bathrooms. The adult-only hotel features an outdoor pool, separate jacuzzi, and free WiFi in all areas. Suites have kitchens, and four breakfast menus are served in a Colonial patio-garden, just steps from Conde street.

The location is perfect, but everything is old, broken and dirty. Mold in the bathroom, shower door doesn’t close, bedroom wall paint flakes off onto your stuff, the ironing board is moldy, the front doors creak, the furniture is old, the bed is sagging, cockroaches appear when the lights go out, the breakfast menu is unreadable, staff don’t speak English, the breakfast lady grabs a glass by the rim so you have to drink from it 🤢, and the “fresh fruit” is as hot as the sun – impossible to be healthy.

The place is well‑situated and the staff are friendly, yet the air conditioning drips heavily, the sofa is stained, the curtains are peeling, and the room and bathroom finishes could use a facelift.

The colonial area is convenient for walking to the center, but the upkeep is poor, breakfast is subpar, the place looks unclean, and the room feels old and neglected; I don’t recommend it and would never stay again.
