“beautiful space, helpful staff, but strong mildew smell in back room”
The staff helped us book, the spot was great in the town centre, the building looked lovely, and there was no noise. However, the back room had a horrible mildew‑like odor that made our eyes and nose itch and made breathing difficult; a sheet hung from the ceiling dripped water each morning, and a sign about a “natural cave smell” didn’t explain this. The other cave room and the underground city didn’t have this smell, so I suspect porous water holes that needed sealing in the roof or something. Being unable to sleep because of the smell really lowered the rating; otherwise everything else was fine.
