The little cabin tucked in the forest is just the spot if you’re after some alone time and a chance to reconnect with nature. It sits right by the beautiful Arenal River, is comfortable and private, and the Wi‑Fi actually works. Dani, the owner, is a genuinely nice guy and you’ll end up having some interesting conversations with him – I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The location can’t be beat – a quick walk gets you to the river and the ashram, and the host is incredibly friendly. The room felt snug, and the shared kitchen let us cook when we didn’t feel like hunting for the few nearby restaurants. All in all, a special place worth staying at.

We fell in love with Cumaná. Daniel welcomed us like old friends, the kitchen let us cook, and we could relax, head to the river and truly soak up the mountain atmosphere. If you’re a fan of the hills and need a break from city life, this is the spot.
