The location is fine, near Rawai beach, which I was hoping for. They have a garden area with seating that made my three‑day stay more pleasant. The staff were nice and tried to help. Their restaurant bar, called New Breakers across the street, is very good and I recommend it. However, the building that was supposedly renovated looked unchanged in my room. Before booking I saw a photo of the room that showed a very small window and what I thought was a glass terrace door for natural light, but the door was actually solid wood and was opened just for the picture. At 33 °C outside, that’s not helpful, not to mention the mosquitoes at night. The room felt like a dark hole; you had to turn on the security‑style ceiling lights to see anything, and those lights were so bright they hurt your eyes. At night the AC’s temperature display glowed blue, so I had to cover it with a black plastic bag. The building is noisy, and there seems to be a communication gap between front‑desk staff and housekeeping.

Nothing good except the staff. Everything else was terrible: it was very noisy, I felt scared because there was a potentially violent guest, the place was filthy, and the facilities were rubbish. The owners never came to talk with us about the problems. We asked for our deposit back and they refused, even though my friend has epilepsy and couldn’t sleep because of the noise. Scum bags. Do not stay here!!
