The staff were friendly and the location was perfect right on the beach. However, the facilities were basic: no tablet or hanging option, no sink in the bathroom, and the room was very damp because the air‑conditioner was broken during our stay, though it has since been fixed.

The owner was kind, but the “prince of mentawai” turned out to be a real scam artist who tried to ruin the hotel’s image with a fake good vibe to charge a steep price of 600k for a 20‑minute surf lesson.
