The location, the lovely façade of the house, and the room’s size were all positives—very spacious and comfortable. The service was quite ordinary. From the moment we arrived, I asked if we could be moved to the best available room for the price, and they said that was the only option and escorted us there. When I specifically asked if a room with a view of the church was available, the staff member said yes, but the manager denied my request because we had already entered our room’s bathroom; a simple towel and a cleaning product could have solved it. It’s a matter of willingness. When possible, the guest should be satisfied. It’s about attitude and friendliness. That night, when I asked if the room I wanted had been sold (it was still available at 5 PM, so it was unlikely anyone would have taken it), another gentleman told me in a rough tone, “actually we’re full, and your payment is pending” (the card reader or terminal wasn’t working when I arrived). It was very sad and frustrating. When you stay for just one night at a place you may never return to, you naturally want the best experience possible. They have a lot to learn about customer service. The bathrooms didn’t drain properly.

The hotel was beautiful, very clean and classic, situated opposite a lovely church, and the front desk staff were kind and welcoming. However, I couldn’t rest because of loud street noise; passing cars played music loudly and there seemed to be a nearby bar blasting music until almost 4 AM, so bring earplugs.
