“Cosy and like stepping back into the 1980s in all the good ways.”
We booked the Black Spur and, right after entering, wondered why it had such high ratings because it looked very tired. But it kept improving. The room was super comfy, warm (the coldest weekend of winter), and had everything we needed. The meals downstairs were INCREDIBLE—tasty and generous. The lounge was super family‑oriented with lots of kids and families. Delightful. When we arrived, the furnishings seemed dated, but everything was super clean and really comfortable—look beyond the first impression.

The team was welcoming and lovely, and the restaurant food was tasty. The bathroom in our room was pretty clean—would give it a 9 out of 10—but otherwise everything was perfect.

I upgraded to the Deluxe room hoping for a quiet, entertainment‑filled stay, but it fell short. The room was big and the bed was nice, but there were no games, no coffee machine, and no soundproofing as advertised. The TV was tiny and stuck high in a corner, and the toilet kept leaking—fixed twice, but still a problem. No apology or compensation was offered for the misleading description.

Loved the whole setup—room, amenities, parking, the surrounding area, the food at the restaurant, and the service. Nothing to complain about.
