I had to cut my stay short after three days because I couldn’t get a reply from the host until the night before; he finally agreed to refund my night. There’s no front desk, yet it’s advertised as a hostel. The bins outside aren’t collected and the area is dirty, littered with clothes and furniture. The toilets aren’t cleaned and the urine smell lingered all week, only addressed by adding toilet paper. On the first day I arrived, the next morning the staff vacuumed at 9 am, left the door wide open, and a staff member slept in the same room as guests, letting men in without knocking. I wear a veil, and it felt disrespectful that people could enter without a knock; some guests even spoke to the staff in the room. That staff member was arrogant and showed no respect for the service we paid for. Lights were turned on at 10 am, there were early morning phone calls, and lights stayed on until late. I think guests don’t evaluate their stay because there’s no page, and many complain verbally and feel bad. There’s no kitchen, just a microwave in a room, no oven or dishes. Hygiene standards aren’t met; you’re asked to remove shoes and wear slippers, but the floor isn’t swept or mopped and the place is dusty. In short, I don’t recommend it.
