“Camera bella e confortevole, palazzo e contesto urbano terribili”
The location is extremely close to the station, the room is large, the bathroom is spacious and fully equipped, the small table with two chairs is handy for using a computer, the hosts are friendly, and the mini‑fridge is useful for keeping water bottles or snacks. However, despite the room’s cleanliness, size, and good equipment, there are contextual negatives that the hosts can’t control, giving a very bad first impression: the building looks dilapidated, like a film set from Italian neorealism (but nothing romantic about it), the plaster is peeling from the landing walls, the stairwell windows are taped shut, mold is everywhere, and it feels like a place where people live on the margins with serious socio‑economic deficiencies (maybe it’s not that bad, but that’s the vibe). The surrounding area is very degraded, with dirty streets, nauseating smells, poor evening lighting, typical of a poorly integrated multicultural area that creates the classic “multi‑ethnic ghetto” usually found near metro stations.
Nothing. Every time you leave even ten minutes from the room, people come in to turn off the air conditioning or the lights.
“Wszystko było OK”
Yes. It was OK.
A good room, friendly host, comfortable bed, Wi‑Fi, and fair price. I already knew about the two points that didn’t affect my rating: the location near the station and the many stairs to climb. The cost‑benefit ratio is good, worth it if you’re aware of those two aspects.
Nothing. Everything.
