My stay at Shankar Hotel was wonderful; the place was spotless and the service superb. Ganesh at reception was especially helpful, kind, and welcoming, making my visit even better. Thanks to him and the whole team for the great hospitality—highly recommended!

“Would thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel with excellent well trained staff”

The Shankar’s team were polite and friendly, and nothing seemed too difficult. The rooms were spacious with a comfortable bed and 22 light switches for everyone’s preference. The shower was generous, featuring two heads. We experienced a few brief power cuts, but the two emergency lights in the hallway and toilet kept us from being left in the dark, probably because the hotel is renovating. The buffet dinner was excellent, especially the soup. The small gym in the spa area had three machines, but the air‑con was broken, there were no sanitizers, towels, or water cups, so a minor upgrade would help.

“Lovely hotel in Lazimpat area of Kathmandu.”

The hotel in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, was lovely and within walking distance to Thamel. The room was comfortable, and the pool area with food was nice. The basement restaurant was okay, and the buffet breakfast was large. Staff were very helpful.
