I was offered an upgrade and took it; I’m not sure what the original room looked like, but the new one felt spacious and the linen was plentiful, offering good value for the price and friendly service. The area right in front of the elevator was hot since it was exposed to the outside air, while the front desk zone stayed cool, so I’d prefer not to have that gap; also, a larger bathroom would be nice.

The room is very large for a Japanese hotel, even including a sofa. A bad odor came from the kitchen drains, but it became less intense after the first day.
