The Chaya impressed me with its calm, comfortable vibe, warm hospitality, and tasty breakfast buffet, making me eager to return to this lovely boutique hotel.

The hotel feels undervalued and deserves a 4‑star rating; the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the tea selection at the front desk and in the rooms is good. The only thing I’d suggest improving is breakfast—though it was quite good and nourishing, the dishes were almost the same each day.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, quiet, and calming, located in a lovely part of Tokyo near Tokyo Tower and the Imperial Palace, plus plenty of nice restaurants and high‑end shopping. The staff are very friendly and the tea ceremony was amazing. Nothing was wrong— it was the perfect start to our holiday in Japan.
