“Un diamante nel nulla dove tutto è splendente”
Everything is simply wonderful and well taken care of, nothing else.
“Beautiful lodge in stunning setting”
Amazing setting and incredible lodge architecture, fits perfectly into the landscape. Magic sundowner, great food and very friendly staff. Would have loved to stay longer. Can’t think of anything
Every viewpoint offers incredible scenery, especially the sunset bar. The location is great and the guides for the elephant trails are excellent. Matheus at the bar was extra friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The three‑course dinner was only average, even though the steak itself was good, and the service felt a bit over‑the‑top – some people might enjoy the extra attention, but we preferred less hovering.
“Beautiful and perfect! Should have stayed longer than 1 night!…”
I stayed here for one night while traveling from Swakopmund to Etosha/Ongava, and I regret not staying longer because the lodge is beautiful and the service perfect; it’s hidden among the rocks and blends with the scenery, the décor is tasteful, clean, warm and welcoming; the Rock Suite was amazing—spacious, beautifully decorated, fully equipped to feel at home, though it only has an outside shower and toilet, so it’s less comfortable when it’s cold; privacy was good, hot water always available with good pressure; no bugs were seen, but repellent and insecticide were offered if needed; Wi‑Fi was fine for browsing, WhatsApp, etc., but not strong enough for streaming or large downloads; I only had time for one activity, the “Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes Excursion,” which was very interesting, especially the engravings, and I highly recommend it; I also saw elephants, so even though I didn’t go on a nature game drive (I had to leave early the next morning), I still enjoyed wildlife sightings; the staff were always polite and friendly; the food was really nice, breakfast was a huge tray with everything well presented and options for eggs and other warm items, dinner was also very good; I was expecting a surprise for my birthday during my stay, but that seemed to have passed unnoticed; for a luxury camp I had assumed they would do something special for such occasions, but it’s okay, I still had a wonderful time.
The location is fantastic, the rooms are lovely, and the spot is perfect for sunset drinks. The food is great. The swimming pool is very cold and birds keep using it as a drinking bowl and toilet, so it’s not worth using.
