“Lovely rooms, but dodgy and scam-y practices”
The hotel itself is amazing—lovely, modern rooms in a great location, everything worked well and it had clearly been refurbished recently, but be careful because they will add a bunch of hidden charges. They tried to convince us to pay nearly 200€ extra even though our reservation said we only owed 48€ for city tax (which we had already paid via booking). One charge was an “optional” service tax that they added by default. We managed to get it removed, but that wasn’t all—they also insisted we owed a higher city tax than what was listed, claiming changes since our booking, etc. Even if a change had occurred, you’d expect them to inform you that your stay cost more and give you an option to cancel. They wouldn’t let us leave without this, which was highly unpleasant and left us feeling scammed.
