The place is run by a group of very kind and helpful nuns; I stayed one night as a stopover on a traveling tour, in a spacious and clean quadruple room with a decent bathroom. The breakfast was a total flop, though the price is fair for pilgrims and the austere style is fine, but it’s even worse because there’s only “bread and water” :)

The peace and view of the gulf from Castellammare are wonderful. However, not having the room assignment in advance, even though I booked a long time before, meant I didn’t know which room was available; the label “garden view” was unclear, and I didn’t know what “garden view” actually meant 🤔 Even though I was eventually satisfied, I wouldn’t want to end up in a situation where someone tells me I made a mistake by selecting garden view and I find myself with a corridor view, terrace, and only one of the three rooms actually having a garden view (panoramic). In the end, the minimum/maximum are fine because the place is nice just for the view it offers of Anima Vespere, noctu, diluculoque.

The organization and service are great, and everything is perfect.

The view from the booked room is great. But note: there’s a mistake in the location coordinates; you must enter the exact address to reach the right spot. The room lacks glasses. The distance to the center is far—describing it as 500 meters is very inaccurate. We stayed 4 nights there WITHOUT A CAR, which is tough for people who don’t walk much—there are a lot of stairs and the location can be a big challenge.
