The location, the atmosphere, the restaurant, the staff and the facilities are all great. You have to walk barefoot, but that’s a cultural thing, so no problem.

Hey! I’m a 39‑year‑old Mexican traveling solo through Asia. Before arriving here I was staying at another hostel that was full of partying and noise. Even though I love meeting people and socializing, this time I needed something different because I was about to start my Open Water scuba certification and needed a good rest. I didn’t want to move too far from the center either, since my diving school was right there. So I moved to Happiness Hostel, and honestly, I didn’t make a mistake! I loved this place! ❤️ It has a very international vibe. I met a lot of people from all over the world, socialized, had fun, and really enjoyed my stay. The best part is that, even though it’s a hostel, you get a lot of privacy. The beds are set up like small capsules, so you can have your own space and sleep comfortably. Another thing I loved is that every morning they serve coffee, tea, bread and other little things to start the day. ☕🥐 The location is excellent. You’re right in the center of El Nido, with restaurants, shops, diving schools and practically everything within walking distance. But now I want to talk about the best part: the STAFF! ❤️ Truly, the people who work here make all the difference. Their friendliness, good energy and the way they make you feel welcome turn a simple stay into a completely different experience. And when you’re traveling alone, far from your country, those little details mean a lot. You can find nice hostels all over the world, but you don’t always find people who make your stay so special. The staff are definitely the heart of Happiness Hostel. ❤️ For me it was the perfect balance of location, rest, privacy and the chance to meet travelers from all corners of the world.

“A great place to socialise.”

The staff are among the best trained in guest relations. They really know how to engage with every guest. The room always smelled clean and pleasant. Housekeeping was daily and they were everywhere for any concerns. Get a room with a balcony! It’s weird that on my 5th [last] night, with some new sheets, I got bed‑bug bites. :( I’m giving this review 9 because of that. Other than that, everything deserves 100 stars!
