The best part is that the bungalows are right by the sea. It’s not touristy, very quiet and peaceful. The beach is swimmable, there are some corals nearby, but the water was too murky during my stay. I can definitely recommend a snorkeling trip—one of the best corals I’ve seen—and a hike to Egon Volcano, which the staff helped me organize. The restaurant food is pretty good. The road is close, but it’s not busy so it didn’t bother me at all. There is a mosquito net over the bed, but the gaps under the bathroom and front doors are huge. One night I found a spider the size of my flip‑flop in the room. There was no hot water (though it was hot during the day). The only breakfast option was pancakes; having at least two options would have been nice if you stay longer than a couple of days. The area is pretty clean, but it seems either a bit overgrown or not well maintained enough.
