The cleaning staff’s behavior was problematic. We arrived about 1.5 hours before the scheduled time. I called a service staff member who told me the room wasn’t ready yet but would send the door code once it was. About 45 minutes later she sent the code, so we thought everything was fine. The room was left open, so we started unpacking, and suddenly the cleaner shouted at us very sharply, saying that check‑in wasn’t until 4 pm, which could be read on a sign covered by a laundry cart. She said we should take our stuff back out and that we could only return after 4 pm. The fact that we couldn’t occupy the room was not the issue—we were early—but her very unfriendly tone and the way she handled the cleaning was unacceptable. Also, the mattresses were far too hard and uncomfortable.

The stay was straightforward, clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being right next to the highway—nothing to complain about.

There was nothing positive to mention. Whatever you do, avoid this place. We booked it for €95, and when we arrived we were shocked by disgusting conditions: there was feces in the toilet and urine on the seat, and a ring of an unknown liquid on the nightstand. When we reported it, they told us to call the emergency number, but they also said that number is only for emergencies, and since nothing was on fire, we didn’t call. It’s unacceptable for a room at this price to be dirty. I’ve stayed in much cheaper rooms that were ten times cleaner. The photos speak for themselves.

The location is great for a stopover on the way to Italy or the nearby mountains. In the center of Siegsdorf you can enjoy a nice breakfast, and there’s a fantastic natural history museum—the mammoth museum—which is definitely worth visiting if you have time. A short walk away is a tasty pizzeria with super friendly staff.
