We loved the place, peaceful and intimate. The hotel offers an incredible view of the river and the park, with the chance to see elephants. The staff are attentive, discreet, and very pleasant. We had an unforgettable stay.

I was pleased with Bianca’s welcome and how the staff treated us, but there was no working internet and the tables at lunch lacked tablecloths.

The welcome was superb, and both the room and the safari with Bianca were exceptional. The dinner schedule was too restrictive, ending before 20 h.

The staff were incredibly friendly and we appreciated every little touch—receiving a bottle of wine to celebrate our engagement, hot water bottles for our early morning drives, and a small treat on our pillows each night—each detail added up. The food was a major highlight, every meal scored a perfect 10/10. All in all, a fantastic stay; thanks to the wonderful team at Buhala!

It felt like camping in the bush because the hotel is directly connected to Kruger Park and animals come right up to the hotel’s fences. The sunsets over the “Crocodile River” were spectacular. Dinner was exceptional; the chef prepared the best dishes we tasted during our 17‑day South African trip. The round‑trip transfer for the golf at Leopard Creek is excessive—100 euros for a course only 15 minutes from the hotel—and there are few activities outside the hotel.
