The room was spotless and had just been updated, mixing modern touches with antique furniture; the spot was spot‑on for our trip, but nobody was on site when we arrived, so we couldn't get in right away.

Louise was super friendly and helpful, even offering a free late check‑out so we could wait for the weather to clear up while we were cycling the Tarka Trail.

The bed was incredibly comfy, the room was spacious with a fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, and all the crockery and cutlery we needed for meals in the room, and there was free parking at the back; the location was perfect for our RHS visit.
