Great views of the New York City Library, amazing location right next to Bryant Park, spacious clean comfortable rooms, friendly and accommodating staff and service, good pressure in the shower, daily tasty treats… wine & chocolates, but there was no coffee machine in the room and I had to go downstairs to the lobby area to get coffee.

Close to Broadway shows and restaurants, but the odor in the lobby was unpleasant.

The reception is well designed and the staff are proactively helpful; the room was spacious and had good aesthetics; I was offered free water and snacks—a nice touch; it was way better value than Residence Inn on the same dates, but street noise (sirens) was present, which is expected in Manhattan!

The location was fine, but we booked a room for 3 (a couple plus child) and were told there was no extra bed for the child unless we paid an extra blackmail fee of $50 for it (on a 3 night, $750/night stay!!!). As a matter of principle, we didn’t, raised the issue with hotel management, and insisted that this should be a standard service for a booking of 3, which the hotel confirmed. Their reply was “they can all sleep in the same bed!!!!” We ended up doing that, which ruined our holiday. Disappointing and (honestly) disgraceful from a Hyatt‑chain hotel.
