The cleanliness of my room - it was spotless from top to bottom.
The hotel's location was a major selling point for me, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to all the main attractions.
The spacious room was a highlight of my stay, but it was a bit of a letdown that the ice machine wasn't working on the 3rd and 4th floors.
The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The 1st room we were given smelled really bad, so I called the front desk and asked for a spray or something. The front desk clerk said they do have spray but it was really strong and most people don't like it. So instead she offered to give us another room and rushed the key upstairs to us and made sure it was good. The hallways was extremely dirty on the floors looked like they haven't been cleaned for awhile

Breakfast was delicious and fresh, with staff nearby for quick refills and help; they offered a potato dish that was very tasty, though I’m not sure what it was called. The room was the one I booked, yet the cleaning seemed rushed: the carpet was dirty with tiny hair ties everywhere, a piece of glass under the desk, dust behind the TV and the bedframe, stains on the bedding, mattress, and carpet—expected in an old hotel. I was especially upset to wake up to a used dental stick/floss under the bedsheets.
I liked the DIY waffle station, but more waffle makers would help when many people eat at once; the pecan coffee was good. The washroom exhaust system in room 1302 is not working.

The room was clean, but the iron didn’t work, there was no blow dryer, and the ice machine on my floor was broken. The elevator floor wasn’t cleaned during my 3‑day stay.
