Affittacamere Alla Stazione sits in a protected 19th‑century building on Piazza Della Libertà, just 150 m from Trieste’s main train station. The boutique guesthouse offers modest, wood‑furnished rooms with parquet floors, free Wi‑Fi, a TV, and shared bathrooms. Some rooms overlook the city’s rooftops and Piazza Della Libertà. A 10‑minute walk reaches the Adriatic beach, while Trieste Harbour lies 500 m away.

The surroundings were perfect, but they forgot to put a spare bed for the child even though we had requested it. We missed having a microwave and there was no way to heat food.

Nothing worked because they didn’t even respond when I arrived after paying on time. They didn’t take responsibility for getting someone to come and cut off all phone numbers.

Everything was very close to the location and the staff were very friendly. The apartment had that old‑world charm, high ceilings, old wooden floors, and furniture. There were three bathrooms, so you never have to wait in line. The only downside might be that you can hear everything, but that’s part of living in an old building.

Terrible, but impossible to stay. The building was antiquated with awful facilities. There was no hot water for two days, and the sheets and towels were old. The bedroom was never cleaned, and they used air fresheners to mask the smell. The bathrooms were dirty. We wanted to leave; we don’t recommend it to anyone. We can’t understand how anyone would give this place a 10 when it violates public health regulations. The manager was intimidating and not fit to run a hotel.

Very close to the train station, great location, nice building. The streets outside were very noisy, and the windows had to stay open because there was no air conditioning; an AC unit would help. If you arrive after 21:00 there is no solution, which puts a lot of pressure on international travellers who might face delays and end up sleeping on the street.
