“TERRIFICANTE. VACANZA ROVINATA”

The stay was terrifying. The building had been closed for months, with mold and a bad odor that made the environment unhealthy. Even though it faces the sea, there’s no view. Cleanliness was poor; the third bed was embarrassing, forcing my six‑year‑old son to sleep in the double. Towels were under‑clean, stiff, and washed roughly. The furniture was old and makeshift, and there was no TV. The outdoor areas were overrun with weeds and neglected. The vacation was ruined. The owner didn’t even ask for our documents and demanded a €20 checkout supplement hours after the deadline. There was zero courtesy or professionalism.

“Es hätte schön sein können, aber....”

The location is good to very good, with plenty of parking in front of the house. We had the whole house to ourselves; a room next door was set up but guests never arrived. The facilities were very basic, loveless, and a jumble of everything, some parts were broken and rusted. Communication happened via WhatsApp. There was no Wi‑Fi, no signal at all, supposedly linked to the company by the landlord. The landlord promised a fix but never followed up. Many OSB boards were screwed together. The bed/mattress was quite worn out. The place had potential, but the terrace was littered and neglected.

The property is in a seaside view area, very quiet and spacious in the common rooms. Check‑in was easy. The two owners were very welcoming and helpful. The kitchen is shared with other guests, each has their own fridge, a rustic but well‑equipped space. The veranda is beautiful, with chairs, tables, and a lounge chair. The room is big, plenty of space for luggage, and overall a nice, quiet area. The shower is a bit small, but I had no particular problems using it.

The room was large and had a shared kitchen overlooking the garden. It’s located right in front of the sea. The direct exit onto the state road made leaving quite difficult.
