“Einfach nur Woooooow!”
Everything – the location with the view and the quiet, the mega great breakfast. … to name just a few things. Sonya and her husband are very warm people and shared a lot of useful information and great outing tips. She also immediately provided me with yoga mats and I did yoga every morning on the observation deck overlooking the sea and the natural sounds – a dream. I would book again right away! You can also see monkeys and, with a bit of luck, the Knysna Loerie around the lodge. The “Map of Africa” (viewpoint) is also just around the corner. It was such a beautiful stay, we will definitely come back.

One of the most beautiful spots for the sun salutation, when the sun slides over the mountain range in the morning and the first rays hit the wooden deck. We never thought as night‑owls we would enjoy this spectacle so early, only to continue with a breakfast that is not only visually extraordinary but also delicious. There is no reason to leave this breakfast terrace with the breathtaking view of all the green and the sea. Especially not when Raneiro brings the third cappuccino and Sonya smiles as she makes her unique omelet. The two make Views Over Wilderness the place you want to stay. Two very special people with a special story. Valuable for the community, the people in Wilderness, and for us guests. The huge property of several hectares the two largely left untouched, giving the local animals, like the cute Vervet monkeys or the beautiful Knysna Turacos, a fantastic habitat. It’s wonderful when the little monkeys sneak to the breakfast buffet unnoticed and the exotic birds sit in the trees. Haiba, Panda and Petalo, the lovely four‑legged ones, are usually relaxed keepers. Two years ago we had accommodation directly on the sea. There we only heard the sound of waves. Here above it’s a different world. Exotic, quiet, unique. 10 days were definitely too short. It was rare for us to have such a hard goodbye. We came as strangers and left as friends. The view was breathtaking, the rooms ultra‑modern with huge windows, the owners were incredibly friendly and gave us great tips, and breakfast was very good; the outdoor area with a pool and plenty of lounging spots was also wonderful, making it a fantastic place I’d recommend to anyone. Unfortunately, there was no proper separation between the toilet/shower and the rest of the room—just a short wall—and because the sun streamed in directly, the room got quite warm in the morning and there was no air‑conditioning.

We were warmly welcomed. The accommodation is a dream & everything is very tastefully decorated. There is the most beautiful pool I have ever seen. We felt very comfortable and were very pampered. The breakfast is unbelievably delicious! There are also three very cute dogs! I definitely want to come back!
