I don’t recommend it. I had to pay extra to book a room for two, yet my friend stayed a night after a late night out and slept in my room, forcing us to pay more because the owner claimed the room wasn’t for two people, all to squeeze out more money.

The small hotel was very well located, Gérard was friendly, but the place was filthy, smelled of cigarettes, had no air conditioning, no minibar, and the tiny TV only picked up local channels; I had to cut my stay to three nights and leave early if I’d found a better option.

The location was great, within walking distance of Galata Tower and the underground metro, my wife liked the free welcome tea from the receptionist, but the economy room was like a cupboard with no window, the bathroom sink was hard to reach, a few cockroaches were spotted, and the whole night was filled with party noises that made it hard to sleep; still, for the price the facilities are acceptable.

The host is very professional and always greets you warmly upon arrival. Staff are nice and polite, and everyone is helpful with anything from tables and chairs inside the room to toiletries and cleaning as requested. The surroundings are full of good restaurants and a lively atmosphere. The room feels a bit small, but it’s manageable and ultimately comfortable.

The location was perfect for those who want a lively party atmosphere, but I was disappointed with the lack of basic amenities like clean sheets and a functional wardrobe. The broken wardrobe door was just the tip of the iceberg, and I was left feeling frustrated with the overall experience.
