I was disappointed with my stay at the Baron Hotel in Karbala because the high prices didn’t match the modest level of luxury. When I entered the first room, I spotted cracks on the walls and ceiling, stains and deposits in the bathroom, and some broken furniture and fixtures. I complained to management and they moved me to another room, but the second one also fell short: the chair was dirty with obvious spots. The most frustrating part was paying a steep rate for a room that was far below the expected cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail. I have photos and videos showing the conditions even after the room change. I urge the hotel to reconsider its maintenance, cleanliness, and pricing, which in my view do not reflect the quality of the stay. Bottom line: very expensive for the quality received, and I won’t return.
